Since beginning my Law Enforcement career in 2002, I've aspired to learn better and more efficient ways of training and sharpening my skills and the skills of others I stood on the front lines with. Since becoming a Louisiana POST Firearms Instructor, I've sought better ways that would attempt to train the subconscious mind into triggering sound defensive techniques on reflex. Since there is no way for the mind and body to truly experience the mental and physical stresses of an actual deadly encounter in a training setting, my goal is to train those involuntary reflexes to react as best as possible.

The "One Mag" concept is rooted in the idea that you should be confident in defending yourself with One Mag. You should focus on expending the least amount of ammo necessary to stop the threat or escape the deadly encounter to safety. How many private citizens, that are simply looking to defend themselves or others, expect to reload a magazine under stress with little training? Alternatively, how many innocent and honest citizens consider the risks and liabilities that come with misplaced shots that find innocent and unsuspecting targets?

First-time applicants and renewals are invited to attend our CHP course to learn more about the legal and moral ramifications of carrying a concealed handgun. Walk-ins are welcome, however, seating is limited to a first-come, first-served basis. Our lead instructor, Ja'Ronne Carter, has over 10 years of Full-Time Law Enforcement, Advanced Tactical, Criminal Investigations, Criminal and Civil Court Room Testimony in Federal, Parish, and Municipal proceedings experience. He is currently a Louisiana Police Academy Certified Active Firearms Instructor, an FBI Certified Sniper/Observer as well as a Glock Armorer. Please come in and learn from an experienced Instructor whose main focus is teaching you how to avoid the deadly conflict and explaining the ramifications of resorting to deadly force, how to survive the encounter when no other options are available, and the ensuing legal battle.
